In the 80s and 90s Joss Mennen made a name for himself in the international rock scene with the bands Zinatra and To drive.
After a successful career, he switched to pop music in the Limburg dialect, with which he made an impression in the theaters.
Now Joss returns to the pop stages! Together with his band he starts a club tour in support of his new album, which will be released later this year. Expect a unique combination of recognizable songs, Limburg charm and brand new music.
Back with New Music and Renewed Energy
With a series of new songs, Joss Mennen returns to his musical roots. Stories straight from the heart, often autobiographical, are released throughout the year in the Weert dialect. Solid rock songs and subdued atmospheric pieces alternate, wrapped in a bombastic production. Each song shows that Joss has lost none of his passion and power after all these years.
In January 2024, Joss brought back his old musical companions from the Joss Mennen & Vrinde theatre show(2012-2014) back together. During the first rehearsal, after a break of ten years, it became clear that the chemistry was still alive. The enthusiasm quickly led to plans for new music and live performances.

Joss began his career over 40 years ago as the lead singer of the rock band Zinatra, with which he toured worldwide. He later continued this success with the band To drive. In 2010 Joss found a new musical direction and discovered the power of his own dialect. This led to the album “Joss Mennen & Vrinde“, a varied collection of songs. The album includes the beloved “This is my city” and the single “Before a day with you”, which was in the L1 Limbo Top 10 for months and even reached the number 1 position.
The theatre shows and the second album “The journey of that life” (2014) cemented his reputation as a versatile artist. But after a period of silence and the pandemic, 2024 feels like the perfect time to find the magic again.
With a new band dynamic, fresh songs shared throughout the year, and plans for live performances, Joss Mennen is ready to impress again. Keep an eye on the agendas: a mix of authentic stories, Limburg warmth and genuine rock is on its way!
