INTWINE was founded in 2001 by Roger Peterson (vox), Jacob Streefkerk (guitar) and former members bassist Touché Eusebius, guitarist Kevin Hissink and Erwin Gielen (drums)  in Tilburg, Netherlands. The five talented musicians got to know each other while attending the “Fontys Rockakademie.. The band started writing songs almost immediately after meeting. The self titled debut album “Intwine”, was released in October 2003 in the Netherlands and hit position 17 and lasted 21 weeks on the Dutch charts, while their first single “Happy?” cracked the Top 3. Although “Happy?” is a perfect ballad – the album “Intwine” captivates with its special mix of hard metal guitars, melodies and the reggae roots of the band. Three members, including Roger and Jacob, originated from the Caribbean Antilles.

INTWINE was one of the nominees at the 2003 Belgian TMF Awards and also won the Edison Award for “Album Of The Year” The band succeeds in finding a way to land somewhere between commercial success and credibility.  They have excelled performing at “Top Of The Pops“ as well as on the legendary “Pinkpop” Festival.

Overcoming the enormous pressure to succeed, the band continues to be untouchable and released in October 2005 the follow up album “Perfect”. This album lasted 28 weeks on the charts and climbed up to position 18.

For the first time the band got offers from foreign countries and short time after a festival show in Istanbul “Cruel Man” hits #1!!! With these tremendous achievements under their belt, INTWINE gave an amazing performance at the Rotterdam Ahoy-Arena in front of 12,000 fans, and followed that success up by becoming a nominee for an Edison Award again.

In 2006 the annual “Rum-Shop Session” took place for the first time and amazed small audiences of 150-200 people each in the form of acoustic concerts. The show took place in Aruba (Caribbean) – where they have their historical origin. “Pyrric Victory“ was released at the end of 2006, but was not promoted by the record label V2 Records because of an internal crisis at V2 and the following dismissal of almost all employees. The band promoted the album with lots of dedication by themselves and was able to manhandle the album to position 43 on the charts. INTWINE released three singles by themselves and initiated a new beginning for the band.

Confronted by the situation the band had to sue the record label for the rights of another album. The lawsuit ended at the beginning of 2008 in an amicablee split and INTWINE looked for a new partner to work with.

In the middle of the year they found Tiefdruck-Musik. While working on the new album “Kingdom Of Contradiction” members Touché and drummer Rocheteau Mahuwallan (2004-2008) left the band for other projects they had agreed to. Pablo Penton (bass) and Eric Spring in’t Veld (drums) became worthy representatives of them.

“Kingdom Of Contradiction“ is a much more extreme album than everything else the band had produced before. Songs like the second single “Perfect” catch the listeners with metal guitars and double bass attacks whereas “Walking On The Moon” (cover version of the Police classic – together with Sarah Bettens of K’s Choice, and first single) captivates with its minimalist arrangements. Is this an album full of contradictions or just a certificate of the bands history?

Rock Inc. closed an exclusive distribution and promotion deal with German label AVENUE OF ALLIES MUSIC .

Avenue Of Allies Music is a record label based in Germany specializing in Melodic Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, AOR and West Coast artists. The label is releasing brand new recordings by established artists and newcomers as well and there are also CD re-releases of rare stuff and CDs of never before released vinyl LPs in their repertoire.
For their products Avenue Of Allies aims for the best quality in terms of sound and packaging.
First new release will be a brand new band project from Sweden called " Optimystical" to be released in June.

We get messages regularly if we can arrange live gigs or know bookings agencies who could arrange gigs for your bands.   We have been thinking about this and maybe found a solution which might be interesting for you and/or for your bands.

THE ROCK INC. SHOWCASE

What are we going to do?
We arrange about 4 showcase evenings (2 or 3 in The Netherlands, 1 in Belgium, maybe 1 in Germany). We already have been talking to several clubs who want to participate.
During the show case evening, 3 bands get a chance to present themselves in front of invited press and audience.  Rock Inc. will complete the evening with listening sessions of new upcoming releases, give away campaigns etc. to attract enough people.

PA/Light and catering will be arranged at every venue.
Rock Inc. takes care of the organisation and extended promotion, invitation of the press.
We will arrange posters and flyers to support our promotional work.
To keep an eye on quality of the evening and a pleasant run through , we would like to achieve to work with one back line as far this is possible.

What do we ask from you?
The label has to pay a flat-fee of € 125,00 per contributing band.
The contributing band or label has to take care of their own all over-all costs like transport, crew and hotel (if necessary).

Promo CD
We also are offering you to contribute in the manufacturing of a promo-CD, which contains 2 /3 songs of every band involved and which go out to the venues and press.
Rock Inc. takes care of mastering / manufacturing of 500 promo-CD.
For this we ask a contribution of € 225,00 per band

This month Rock Inc. closed an exclusive distribution & promotion deal with German label ARTIST STATION RECORDS and the Dutch label DUTCH METAL RECORDS. Starting this week, Dutch rockers of MENNEN will give away a free download-track, every first week of the month. This way they want to give everybody a chance to get to know MENNEN in an easy way. The tracks will be available first of all via Sonicbids http://www.sonicbids.com/MENNEN, but everybody who wants to help and spread the word Mennen can send a request to info@rockinc.nl and will receive the free track as MP3 via email. They are allowed to use this track also on other internet sites to spread them around. Distribution Company Rock Inc. Entertainment and music promotion company Professional Independent Music Promotion (PIMP) will cooperate for the Benelux territory. In this new set up, Rock Inc. will take care of the physical distribution of releases, whereas PIMP will be responsible for promotional support. Both companies are well established and see this collaboration as a means to combine and expand their experience and services.

The first label that will be handled according to this new construction is German record label RODEOSTAR. In October, the label will release the new TRIBE AFTER TRIBE album, followed by releases from rock/metal acts like SILVER and THE CUMSHOTS, but also singer songwriter ANDREW PAUL WOODWORTH.

“Both Rock Inc. and PIMP are looking for expansion of their respective distribution and promotion services. Both companies have a great track record and we decided to work together to be of even more service to our clients. Rodeostar is a well-organized label with some great artists, the cd’s have great artwork and sound superb. They also focus on artist development and make sure that their artists are on tour regularly,” says Peter Schaap of PIMP.
