German/Swedish hard rockers JADED HEART have finished recording their eleventh studio album, "Common Destiny", for a May 25 release via Fastball Music/Soulfood.

A video for the song "With You" was filmed on February 12 at the rock club Helvete in Oberhausen, Germany.

JADED HEART's last three CDs — "Helluva Time" (2005), "Sinister Mind" (2007) and "Perfect Insanity" (2010) — were made available through Frontiers Records.

20 years after their founding in 1991, JADED HEART are still - and more than ever – one of Germany’s most successful Rock bands. Founded by bass player Michael Müller and drummer Axel Kruse, who is also the drummer in another German Rock institution, Mad Max, the band has gained even more international standing after two line-up changes with Swedish singer Johan Fahlberg, who joined JADED HEART in 2005 and fellow Swede guitarist Peter Oestros, who joined the band in 2006.

After leaving their label Frontiers Records, where JADED HEART’s last three albums „Helluva Time“ (2005), „Sinister Mind“ (2007) and „Perfect Insanity“ (2010) were released, the band has found a new home now at the Cologne based label Fastball Music.

„We are very much looking forward to working with JADED HEART, one of Germany’s finest Rock bands“, says label boss Andreas Bob. The band adds: „We are very proud to have signed with Fastball Music. This will kick the band into a new decade of Rock´n Roll!

2012 will be affected by a new powerful record and a lot of live power! We´re really looking forward to that now.” The yet untiteled 11th studio album of JADED HEART will be released in May 2012.

The German label Fastball Music, a division of BOB-Media GmbH & Co. KG, is distributed by Rock Inc. in the BeNeLux. International artists as Tokyo Blade, Tri State Corner, Maxxwell, Blowsight and Robin Beck have already found a rocking & rolling home at the Cologne based record label.

It is with great heartache and sorrow that we relay the passing of our dear friend, band-mate, guitarist and brother Matthew LaPorte. Matt passed away in his home shortly after 6 pm on Wednesday. No information regarding his cause of death is currently available.

Matt was a brilliant guitar player on all levels. He understood that instrument better than almost anyone. His knowledge of music in general was just amazing. His contributions to JOP and every band he ever played with was also without measure. He was truly a one-guitar army when he needed to be and his solo performances on all the JOP cd's will forever send chills down our spines. A near 20- year history and friendship with one of the true greats has now ended and we are deeply saddened.

Matt was a fan of all kinds of music and instruments, having even embarked on a mission to conquer the hammered dulcimer...one of the hardest instruments to play. He was always trying to expand his musical horizons and influences. He marveled at the musical greats, both
old and new. He was never one to rate his talents above others and often commented about the great new music and artists he had just discovered.

Criss Oliva was without a doubt his most profound influence, and anyone who saw him play Savatage songs knew that Criss was channeling his talents via Matt. Matt's attention to detail and always striving to play everything perfect is without comparison. We would sit for hours
during rehearsals with him muddling over whether a guitar chord was played exactly as recorded. Sometimes frustrating, but always appreciated in the end. He was the professionals' professional when it came to his guitar skills, and the loss of such a talent will be
forever felt.

Matt was a gentle soul, and would avoid conflict at all costs. He got along with everyone and greeted all with a smile on his face. There was a shyness and almost embarrassment felt by him from the adoration of his fans around the world...and he had many.

He was humbled by the love and respect music fans gave to him, but in a quiet way, that made him work just a little bit harder. He had a hilarious, twisted and often sarcastic sense of humor that was unique to him. A very funny man indeed.

We miss you terribly Matt, and we will celebrate your music and life each and every day. That great band in the sky just got a whole lot better, and you are in the most peaceful place you could have ever hoped for. Until we meet again...

Tokyo Blade's new studio album "Thousand Men Strong" is out now. After months of hard work and preparation, fans worldwide can finally hear the fruits of all the band's labour. 

The website itself is brand new having been completely redesigned in under 3 weeks. It was felt that the previous site needed a better layout and with the demand for new Tokyo Blade product reaching higher levels, a more flexible web store was also needed. 

The current Tokyo Blade line-up includes four of the five original members, Andy Boulton (guitar), Andy Wrighton (bass), John Wiggins (guitar) and Steve Pierce (drums) and is completed by powerhouse vocalist Nicolaj Ruhnow.

THE GREAT ESCAPE: TRACK BY TRACK

After a while the good stuff starts to come out.  We took our time making this new CD and the results of our efforts are blazing hot!Working with James Chirstian (Producer) and Tommy Denander (Co-Producer) prove to be the winning formula for me. I felt free to be creative and daring, to enjoy the music that we were writing and dare to dream bigger dreams. 10 original compositions written by Beck/Denander/Christian, and a really surprising cut written for me titled, "Baby I'm Not A Bitch" by the Elements, a writing force from the UK.

Track 1. "The One" Beck/Denander/Christian
Telling your secret love that he's the one,can be the hardest thing you'll ever commit to as it unravels all your most vulnerable feelings.
I found this song to be really revealing for me.

Track 2. "Got Me Feelin' Sexy" Beck/Denander/Christian
Burning desire for the hot and heavy youthful and wicked attraction. This is your top down, hair in the wind, devilish wink song. Sinfully honest and upfront.

Track 3. "Inside Of Me" Beck/Denander/Christian
This song is one of my favorites.  It provokes all my feeling about how precious life is and how the best choice is,  to choose life. At the same time it presses the issue of being responsible for your actions, single woman listen up.

Track 4. "That All Depends" Denander/Beck/Christian
Duet with Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow and Deep Purple. This will be one of your favorites! No one serves it up better than Joe Lynn Turner and the song was just made for the two of us, literally... This song is talking about taking the bull by the horns and showing you girls how to keep him in line and get your man at the same time... Love is thicker than disorder!

Track 5. "Baby I'm Not A Bitch"
What a song... written by The Elements.  This song tells it like it is.  We are all just trying to get our point across. Relationships are hard, but they don't have to be impossible... just tell him, I hate you cause I love you, and it's just how we are.

Track 6.  "Everything Is Alright" Beck/Denander/Christian
Did you ever feel like your partner wasn't listening and you just wanted to give to em'? Well here's your new Anthem-Don't tell me when to laugh, don't tell me not to cry, and don't tell me everything is alright! Get it off your chest kinda song that rocks from beginning to end.

Track 7. "The Great Escape" Beck/Denander/Christian
A song about love that goes unappreciated, but by the end we can all appreciate why someone would not stay if they didn't feel loved.

Track 8. "Don't Think He's Ever Comin' Home" Beck/Denander/Christian
I almost didn't make it through singing the lyric of this song... it's so emotional and broken hearted. How does one survive losing the love of their life when they never saw it coming? How do keep believing when there's nothing there? Drag out the hanky cause you're gonna need it.

Track 9. "Cross My Heart" Beck/Denander/Christian
Tiger Woods tribute- This song is for all the jilted woman. Cheater and liars beware.... This song will show no mercy! "Cross my heart and hope you die"

Track 10.  "All The Rivers" Beck/Denander/Christian/Kent
This song is a poetic verse on trying to survive the ups and downs and ins and outs of life in general. Make it your own... everyone has a story to tell but you gotta pick yourself up by your bootstraps and make it back to what you believe in. Turn inward to find the answers. 

Track 11. "Till The End Of Time" Denander/Jidhed/Bjorn Lindbom
Another fantastic duet between James Christian and me... what can I say... the song was made for us... a true lament of how we really do feel and to close this album that was made with so much love and so much commitment that the song just sang itself!

I have never had more fun or more excitement making a record before this one... Every single song means something to me and is straight out of my own journals... I should have named the album "The Plain Truth" straight from the heart - Hope you get as much enjoyment out of listening to it, as I did making it!
